Breakfast ideas

I've the past 2 years been an horrible breakfast person. I've got into the habit "looks before food". If im in a hurry for school I always skip breakfast if that gives me a change to spend 5 more minutes on makup and hair. But it's super bad for me and everyone. Then when I'm in school I'm not capable to concentrate at all.
This is just one of the reasons why I decided to do this post, I know that I'm not the only person who doesn't eat breakfast every day. Earlier when I still had school I always blamed the early mornings but now when my summer break have started there is no reason at all to skip breakfast, it's not that I will be forced to go somewhere around 8 in the morning. So to get an better morning routine for next school year I decided to start already. I love breakfast and making breakfast food but I never have time but this summer I will really try to eat an good breakfast so that I get used to it when school starts.
I've been looking a lot on the internet for some breakfast ideas and I thought it would be a good idea to share some of my favourite breakfast ideas with you.

Section 1, pancakes:

Apple-pancake rings

These apple-pancakes rings are probably one of my favourite ideas, the apple slice will make it a bit more healthy and with maple syrup it just simple perfection.

Ingredients for 2-3 persons

  • 2 medium apples
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Vermont maple syrup
What to do:

1. Slice apples crosswise into 1/8 thick rings.
2. Whisk together flour, baking power, baking soda and salt. Beat in eggs and milk and mix it all together.
3. Heat a frying pan to medium heat and let some butter melt, until the butter will get an yellow-brownish colour.
4. Dip the apple rings into the pancakes mix, the mix should be thin enough for exess batter to drip off but thick enough to let some batter to stay on.
5. Put the batter covered apple rings on the frying pan and let them be there for about 2 minutes or until they will get an nice ligth brown colour.
6.  Serve emmediately with maple syrup or whatever you wan't to eat them with :)

French toast:

It's kinda like pancakes so I put it here. But french toasts are really good they filling and a great way to use dry bread.

Ingredients:

- 4 slices of  "white bread"
- 1 egg
- a very small amount of salt
- 1 1/2 dl milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 dl flour
-butter

What to do:

-Mix all the ingredients (not the bread) together
-Heat an frying pan and put some butter in it
-Dip the bread in the mixture and let them stay there for 5 seconds
-Fry the soaked bread
-Eat and enjoy

Section 2, smoothies:

Smoothies are always a really good option if you want something filling but your in a hurry, to save extra time you can even freeze the berries,fruit... in a ziploc bag, the smoothie will get extra cold and thick perfect to put in a cup and do whatever you need to do, ready in just 2 minutes!

Frozen banana smoothie/milkshake

One of my all time favourites, it's so simple and cheap and tastes like you've got ice-cream in it.

-1 frozen banana
-around 1/2 dl milk ( the amount will differ alot because of different big bananas and how thick you wan't it to be)
- an tablespoon of sugar or a half tablespoon with vanillasugar

Mix and enjoy!

Strawberry-oatmeal smoothie

Ingredients:

- 1 cup of natural youghurt
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 banana
- 14 frozen strawberries
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Section 3, scrambled eggs

Scrambled eggs are always a really good breakfast option since they are totally sugar free. Also an great way to use any leftover ingredients such as...

-meat
-cheese
-vegetables
-ketchup (belive me it's super
 yummie with scrambled eggs)

Ingredients:

- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tablespoon of milk
- 1/2 tablespoon of butter
-salt and pepper
(-Extra ingredients)

What to do:

-whisk all the ingredients together and put the mixture in an frying pan
-fry it until the mixture is thicker
-eat it up!! ;)

Section 4, oatmeal

I've actually never liked oatmeal that much but when you skip the normal boring oatmeal and start to ad your owningredients  it's a lot better.

Basic oatmeal recipe:

- 1 cup of milk or water
- 1/2 cup of oats

But to spice up the oatmeal and make
it better you can for example use...

-fresh fruit/berries like
 blueberries strawberries, apple, pear, nectarin...
-different nuts, cashew, almond haselnut...
-peanut butter
-dried fruits like papaya, mango, apple, pear...
- coconut flakes
